2010 Year End Lists: Christina Rentz, Publicist

2010 Year End Lists: Christina Rentz, Publicist Superchunk's triumphant return to the "active" column - I was fortunate enough to follow Superchunk around a bit as they played two sold out shows in NYC, rocked Jimmy Fallon's face off, taught Vegas how to pogo, and shared a too-good-to-be-true bill with Telekinesis & Teenage Fanclub in Seattle.

Superchunk's triumphant return to the "active" column - I was fortunate enough to follow Superchunk around a bit as they played two sold out shows in NYC, rocked Jimmy Fallon's face off, taught Vegas how to pogo, and shared a too-good-to-be-true bill with Telekinesis & Teenage Fanclub in Seattle. Majesty Shredding was the soundtrack to so much of the fun I had this year!

Shout Out Louds at the 9:30 Club in DC - A Merge staffer roadtrip to DC to see our favorite Swedes - jumped up and down in the VIP section and saw Shout Out Louds blow the roof off of a sold out 9:30 Club.

Game Change & Furious Love - My two favorite books this year.  One was a salacious tale of election politics & personalities and the other was a true story of love, jewelry and booze.

The Clientele on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon - The Clientele made their late night television debut in March.  Staying up late to watch the performance air live with the band while jumping up & down and pointing at the TV was the best thing ever!

Doug Loves Movies - My favorite podcast! Comedians talking about movies in front of a live audience & the oh-so-fun Leonard Maltin Game - start with any episode featuring Paul F. Tompkins, Jon Hamm or Adam Scott!

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Louis & The League - Apparently, 2010 is the year I became a frat boy, but I don't care, because FX made me laugh more than any other network this year.

The Love Language @ Kings Barcade - Best show I saw all year.

Matador 21 - Vegas is weird, but Matador made it awesome!  High points included hanging out with the friends we met in Greece, seeing The Clean for the first time ever, Spoon wrestling the "Loudest Band Ever" award away from Sonic Youth, and a tie between Ted Leo & Belle & Sebastian for "Most Charming Band"

Eat Dave Love - cutest food blog(ger) on the internet!

Ted Leo & the Pharmacists
- The Brutalist Bricks & their shows at the Cradle & Matador 21 - so much energy and incredibly catchy songs!
