WFMU 24-Hour “Emergency Fund Drive!”

WFMUWorld-renowned Jersey City freeform radio station, WFMU is hosting a 24-hour emergency fund drive beginning at 7PM tonight. Due to a major short fall from their Spring fund drive and losing the lease on their transmitter, WFMU is setting aside their pride and asking for help to keep their “heart pumping and turntables spinning until next Spring.” WFMU is 100% listener-supported and receives no outside funding.

WFMU is also the home of Tom Scharpling’s “The Best Show on WFMU” every Tuesday night from 8-11 PM. This show has given us a catalog of hilarious comedy from the weekly collaboration of Scharpling with Superchunk’s Jon Wurster.
