Perhaps Jeffery’s possessor (as revealed through his eyes in these videos) decided it wanted to be a musician no more. And now that we know, all he needs is a good exorcist to be free and maybe tour again?!
Wow, Jeff needs to come back to us. We need Jeff to come back to us.
i miss NMH soooo very much….
having had the fortunte of seeing them twice (both prior to the date of these videos) (July 12, 1996 @ Chicago’s Lounge Ax, as opening act for Butterglory and Jenny Toomey ; again on May 1, 1997 @ Chicago’s Lounge Ax, with Olivia Tremor Control), i can attest to his passion and intensity and integrity,as well as the urgency in his playing. him and his band mates literally bouncing throughout their set on stage, having the time of their lives playing with each other, all while wearing Burger King crown hats…..i miss them.
I think its Jefferson and he always looks like that. Sexiest man alive. Come back.
Saw these guys by chance in St. Louis in 97 at ciceros with Jimmy Eat World.
After that, I couldn’t resist the amazing sound.
Saw them again in Chicago, opening up for Superchunk at Lounge Ax, as Matt played the organ on one of the songs.
Great stuff!
