Divine Fits premiered their new video for “My Love is Real” from their debut album A Thing Called Divine Fits today at Stereogum.
Directed by Alexa Gerrity, the video features the band diving fully clothed into a vaguely sinister swimming pool.
Top-notch indie rock pedigree or not, A Thing Called Divine Fits (named for the opening lyrics to most of Sister Nancy’s repertoire) is a stellar debut by any measure—from irresistible up-tempo hookfests “Would That Not Be Nice” and “Like Ice Cream” to the cool Motorik pulse of “Baby Get Worse” and “The Salton Sea” to the tender acoustic guitar strains of “Civilian Stripes” and the sublime take on Rowland S. Howard’s “Shivers.”
A Thing Called Divine Fits is available now on CD, LP and digital download in the Merge store. More US tour dates to come from Divine Fits this spring!
