The Durham Bulls have invited Merge to provide the walk-up music for the team’s July 18 home game against the Pawtucket Red Sox, which will begin at 7:05 pm. We are celebrating our 24th anniversary this month, and the Bulls are joining the party! The Durham Bulls play their home games at Durham Bulls Athletic Park, or DBAP (dee-bap), located just down the road from Merge HQ in the downtown area of Durham, North Carolina.
The Bulls are the Triple-A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays. Established in 1902 as the Durham Tobacconists and disbanded many times over the years, the Bulls became internationally famous in 1988 following the release of the movie Bull Durham starring Kevin Costner, Tim Robbins, and Susan Sarandon.
All of the songs played as the Durham Bulls come up to bat at the July 18 game can be heard in their entirety at durhambulls.com on game day. Tickets for Thursday’s game can be purchased online, by phone at 919.956.BULL, or in person at the DBAP box office.
See you at the ball game!
