Eleanor Friedberger will make her television debut tonight on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.
Tune in to NBC tonight at 12:35/11:35c to watch a performance of “Stare At The Sun”, the catchy, summery single from her second solo LP Personal Record which is in stores now.
Personal Record is Eleanor at her finest. Written with musician and novelist Wesley Stace, the album is an incredible collection of love songs. While Personal Record is – as the title suggests – a very personal record, Eleanor explains that the album is also “inclusive, written for an intimate setting with direct communication in mind: singer, acoustic guitar, audience.” According to Pitchfork, “…very few are writing with half the precision, wit, and cool poise that Friedberger displays here.”
Watch the new short film for "She's A Mirror" at Fader.com, and well as Eleanor's acoustic performance for Time.com. Listen to Eleanor’s charming interview with All Things Considered’s Wade Goodwin and Ken Tucker's glowing review on NPR's Fresh Air. Hear her full band live performance at WNYC’s Soundcheck. Also, be sure to watch the fantastic video for “Stare at the Sun.”
Eleanor Friedberger’s Personal Record is available now on CD, LP and digital in the Merge store.
