Equally as important are the causes she is passionate about. Margaret is widely recognized for her charitable work with gay rights and anti-bullying campaigns.

Margaret recently had Bob Mould on her podcast Monsters of Talk to discuss his new album Beauty & Ruin. Take a listen to the Bob Mould episode here.

Tickets for the Saturday show are still on sale via Cat's Cradle, so don't wait! Limit 4 tickets per customer.

Merge staffers and friends from all over are taking part in the Merge 25K race on March 22 and will be sharing their training stories. Register here & visit our race page for all of the details of our course and finish line party!

If you would like to share your training story with us, please email m25k@mergerecords.com.

From April:
Training for the Merge 25K is nearly over. I completed a grueling 12 miles with a little help from friends Elizabeth and Molly on Saturday March 8th. Would you believe me if I told you that I gave birth to my second child nearly 12 weeks ago? Yes, I am out of my mind. Just last week I ran a total of 23 miles under severe sleep-deprivation. I am determined to see this race through to the end.

Richard Buckner announces dates & towns for new Living Room shows

Richard Buckner has announced the next round of Living Room shows beginning April 10 in Buffalo, NY. Tickets are on sale now!

From RichardBuckner.com:

[These shows] will be acoustic affairs in private homes. Find your town and get a zip code. Purchase a ticket or two and get the whole address. Audiences are more or less 50 strong. They start at 8PM. I just show up with an acoustic guitar, find a chair and thumb-strum into thin air.

But first: March 18th, Merge Records is releasing a 20th anniversary edition of my first album, BLOOMED. There's a bonus disc included with studio, radio and live band performances. Vinyl even! I'll also have some with me at the shows.

A list of tour dates & the full track list of the Bloomed reissue + bonus disc are below.

Five Classic Superchunk albums to be released in Europe on March 17

On March 17, Merge will reissue five classic Superchunk albums on CD and LP in Europe.

Mac says:

When we first started coming to Europe (our first European tour was with Mudhoney in April 1992), we were lucky to have Christof and his fine label City Slang on our side. City Slang released all the records between No Pocky For Kitty and Indoor Living and supported our sometimes successful, sometimes sucky European touring efforts throughout the roaring mid '90s. Those albums have been out of print in Europe for quite a while, and we are excited to say that Merge will be making the following titles available there on CD and LP as of March 17th:

No Pocky for Kitty
On the Mouth
Foolish
Here's Where the Strings Come In
Indoor Living

From Cami:
I'm a little over 10 weeks into training, and I haven't fallen down once! There have been a lot of close calls. Sometimes I've hoped I might fall down and lay there forever, but for the most part, my training has been a success! The weather was great yesterday, and I ran 12.5 miles. I set out to do 14 miles… so I'm a little bummed I had to cut it short, but overall I’m pretty confident I'll be good to go on race day. I plan to do mostly shorter runs between 4-6 miles until the race.
