Saint Rich & Dr. Dog cover one another on split EP

New Jersey duo Saint Rich and Philadelphia band Dr. Dog have teamed for both an extensive US tour and a very special collaborative recording. The two have released a four song EP together via the free download site Noise Trade.

The Casual Freefall tour EP contains four tracks. Each band covered the other and there is a song from each respective band's own record. Dr Dog recorded a version of Saint Rich’s song “Dreams” from their record Beyond the Drone. Saint Rich in turn interpreted the song “Rock & Roll” from Dr Dog’s album B-Room. In addition the EP contains Dr Dog's “Phenomenon” from B-Room and Saint Rich's “Crying From the Home” from Beyond the Drone.

Superchunk's Indoor Living to be reissued in February

On February 25, we will release the newly remastered reissue of Superchunk’s out-of-print 1997 album Indoor Living. The second in our 2014 series of reissues in celebration of our 25th anniversary, Indoor Living will be released on CD and LP with new liner notes by Laura Ballance and producer/engineer John Plymale. The LP will be pressed on 180-gram vinyl, and both CD and LP will include a download of a live concert recorded at Duke University in 1997.   More >

Tracey Thorn's "Tinsel and Lights" gets the deluxe treatment at iTunes

In addition to the original 12-track album, the newly released iTunes deluxe edition of Tracey Thorn's 2012 holiday album Tinsel and Lights includes the song “25th December,” which had been exclusive to the vinyl LP; acoustic radio session versions of three album tracks previously only available as streams through Tracey’s 2012 online Advent calendar; and the video for “Joy” filmed in France at Lille Christmas Market last year.   More >
