Arcade Fire will release a deluxe CD+DVD version of its Album of the Year Grammy Award-winning third album The Suburbs on August 2.

The expanded CD version of The Suburbs sees the original album augmented by a longer version of the track "Wasted Hours (A Life That We Can Live)," as well as the previously unreleased "Culture War" and "Speaking in Tongues," the latter of which features David Byrne on additional vocals.

Highlights of the DVD portion include the complete half-hour short film Scenes From The Suburbs, directed by Spike Jonze and hailed as "absolutely f–king gorgeous" by indieWIRE at its US premiere at this year's SXSW Festival; the companion documentary "Behind The Scenes From The Suburbs"; and the music video for the track "The Suburbs."

The package is rounded out by an exclusive booklet featuring lyrics and 80 pages of photos taken during the Scenes From The Suburbs film shoot.

Arcade Fire have more US dates this summer including a newly announced show on June 8 in Charlottesville, VA.

Amor de Días–Alasdair MacLean, front man for UK group The Clientele, and Lupe Núñez-Fernández of indie-pop duo Pipas–premiere the full album stream of their debut Street of the Love of Days now in the Merge store.

When they tour across the country this spring, it will be the first tour where Alasdair and Lupe perform under the act Amor de Días (Spanish for "love of days") but not the first time the duo have shared the same stage. Lupe would often appear onstage at Clientele performances reciting the storybook lyrics of the Clientele song "Losing Haringey."

Eleanor Friedberger is not just the enigmatic mouthpiece of The Fiery Furnaces, one of music's most interesting, dynamic, and constantly exciting bands. In fact, Eleanor Friedberger is an exceptional songwriter herself, playing a variety of instruments and crafting the very sorts of choruses that made you fall in love with The Fiery Furnaces in the first place. She's a lover of Led Zeppelin and Jorge Ben; she's a fearless performer, as comfortable fronting a band as she is playing alone on a stage with an acoustic guitar; she's one of the sweetest alto voices in music. Nowhere is all of this more apparent than on Eleanor's very first solo album, Last Summer, out on Merge Records on July 12.

Last Summer, which was recorded, well, last summer, was born out of Take Me Round Again, a collection of cover songs from the previous Fiery Furnaces album. Both Eleanor and Matthew did their own inspired versions of songs they'd written together for their last LP, I'm Going Away. Matt's were otherworldly affairs while Eleanor's were lo-fi and lovely, all recorded in her home, the sound of an artist kicking off her shoes, settling into a big comfy chair with an acoustic guitar, a glass of scotch, and a four-track. She enjoyed the experience so much she decided to move forward with recording songs she had written in her spare time, songs that hadn't been included on any of The Fiery Furnaces' nine incredible albums.

Eleanor will be performing at the Northside Festival in Brooklyn on June 18, and we'll have more tour dates very soon!

Since 2006's Meadow, fans of Richard Buckner have been clamoring for new material and wondering what was keeping their hero from releasing the new songs he would perform on the road. Well, it's a long story!

First, there was the score to a film that never happened. Then there was a brief brush with the law over a headless corpse in a burned-out car that had all eyes in Buckner's small hometown in upstate New York turned toward him and his long-suffering truck. Shortly after a move to a safer, less popular corpse dumping ground, the death of his tape machine led to yet another reboot. After Richard called in pedal steel and percussion players and put new mixes on his laptop, his new "safer" place was burglarized. Goodbye, laptop.

Buckner says: "Eventually, the recording machine was resuscitated and some of the material was recovered. Cracks were patched. Parts were redundantly re-invented. Commas were moved. Insinuations were re-insinuated until the last percussive breaths of those final OCD utterances were expelled like the final heaves of bile, wept-out long after the climactic drama had faded to a somber, blurry moment of truth and voilà!, the record was done, or, let us be clear, abandoned like the charred shell of a car with a nice stereo."

And so finally, we present Richard Buckner's Our Blood, in stores on August 2!

Adam from Times New Viking talked with IFC's Grayson Currin about their new album Dancer Equired and the video concept. Here's an excerpt:

How does the video concept work with that song conceit?

It works good, because there are two characters in it. And in the song, Beth is singing, and I'm singing. I sing the boy character, and she sings the girl character. My lyrics and voice are the actual story, and then her lyrics are kind of what the girl is thinking. We knew we needed a video for that song, and we knew that after after our last video, we wanted to step it up even more and try to do the stop-motion idea. We tried to make a little French New Wave stop-motion. Breathless was kind of an inspiration for the video.

The Mountain Goats have confirmed a string of headlining west coast tour dates in support of their new album All Eternals Deck, including a show at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles on June 23.

The band is also scheduled to play Lollapalooza in Chicago in August, as well as several dates with Bright Eyes.

All Eternals Deck was released last month to resounding critical acclaim. Wye Oak visited the famous round room at the Onion AV Club Undercover headquarters in Chicago to cover "Mother" by Danzig.

Complete with a sleeveless black hoodie and WOLFS BLOOD tattoo, Jenn offers a spooky take on former Misfits frontman Glenn Danzig's vocal stylings. Jenn and Andy were joined by Callers' Don "Donzig" Godwin on tenor horn.

Wye Oak is the only band to be asked back for a second AV Undercover visit because, as the AV Club says, "they're awesome." Watch their cover of The Kinks' "Strangers" from last year's series.
