Slow Note From a Sinking Ship shows one of Mac McCaughan's first experiments with synths, resulting in the low[er]-fi output of songs such as "Skinny Glasses Girl" and "A Cunning Latch." But rest assured, the requisite rockers are here in the form of "San Andreas" (still a Portastatic live favorite today) and "Taking You With Me." The vinyl and CD have a different sequence with one extra song each.
