In 2010, the A.V. Club made a list of 25 songs and invited 25 bands into their office to cover them. Once played, each song was crossed off the list. Leading up to the release of Wye Oak's My Neighbor / My Creator EP in June 2010, the band was invited to perform “Strangers” by the Kinks, and Jonathan Meiburg, of Shearwater joined them.
Voted back by readers and writers on the site, Wye Oak returned in 2011 to cover Danzig’s “Mother,” this time with help from friend Don ‘Donzig’ Godwin of Callers.
Limited edition--only 1,000 copies were pressed. This title is currently unavailable through the Merge Records online store. However, you can still purchase it through Wye Oak's web store!
